Method

We like putting things together that probably shouldn’t work.

We look for the things that make us stop, collect references that may become useful, photograph moments before they disappear, and keep only what still feels interesting afterwards.

Natural and strange. Familiar and unexpected. Simple and slightly off.

Contrast creates the interesting bit.

Before making something, we ask a basic question: would we actually want this?

Not because it is fashionable. Not because it fills a gap in a collection. Because finding it would make us glad it existed.

We draw the idea into a form we can see, combine different references, change anything that feels too obvious, and refine the parts until they feel like one idea.

If the answer is no, we keep going.

We want things to feel right for the moment we’re in, without belonging only to that moment.

We make an early prototype, compare versions side by side, adjust the details that are not quite right, and repeat until the result is better, stranger or simpler.

Something you notice now. Something you still want later.

Eventually, an idea has to become a real thing.

We produce the thing we actually wanted to make, check the small details, use it outside the studio, and release it into the world.

Then it belongs to whoever finds it next.
